PRAXIS NERVES

So last night I decided to take a practice Praxis exam-I had no idea that the content test was on teaching methods. (I only got 30 out of 49 correct. I will be cramming like a mad woman all week-the test is this Sat!)
I assumed the Praxis would be exactly like the MAPP-do not make the same assumption I did. Run out and get a review book today!

Just a few questions for anyone who might know:

Is it better to guess or to leave a question blank if you have no idea what the answer is?

What is a passing score?

What % of the test is question about methods vs content knowledge?

Thank you for your help!

If I remember correctly a passing score is 142, but you won't be able to figure that out when you take the test. As for methods vs. content there was more content information. I know there were a couple of methodology questions, but nothing that is confusing. It might ask, what is the best way to situate desk in a classroom to help promote co-operative. Then it would give you a picture of each type. Basic common sense stuff. As for leaving the questions blank I cannot help you. If you look on the ets website it might give you helpful hints.

Passing score is 141, but they will be raising the bar soon...

It's better to guess than to leave a blank...at least if you guess you have 25% chance to get it right; if you leave it blank, it will be a 100% chance that it's wrong.
