MAPP

To the people that are familiar with the MAPP test: Can you PLEASE tell me what to expect. I know we discussed the content before, but since the test is coming up this week I need a refresher. Thanks!! (I'm nervous..hopefully they take me in)

The MAPP is not that bad.
Just review your basic math up to Algebra (review formulas for finding the area of various shapes and know how to figure out the circumference and diameter of a circle). Also be familiar with adding and subtracting of fractions (having a calculator with fraction keys help- let me know if you need to borrow one). For the English portion be prepared for the reading comprehension. It is good to know ahead of time that you must read the passages before you read the questions (the reverse of how to handle the SATS) the reason for this is the MAPP tends to ask what the meaning/ main idea of the passage is instead of questions that allow you scan for the answers in the passage.
Also know that questions are mixed-you will have a math an English, two more maths, a science, three English- there is no real pattern.

I am 100% sure you will be fine.

Get a good night's sleep and eat breakfast before you leave for the test. Most people think the test is too long for the allotted time--if you aren't done when time's almost up, be sure to fill in the blanks at the end...
