Thanks for the breakdown.

How many points do I take off for late submissions, and does it depend on the assignment?

I dont remember talking about late submission. sorry

I have tunnel vision when it comes to due dates. I do not think late submissions should be allowed w/ out a family emergency, sick note, or prior notification of a time conflict to you. (4 years of Catholic school and 10 years in the corporate world have made me think this way).
As I suspect I might be the only one who thinks this way, an alternative solution could be to take 10 points off for each day late instead.

No apology necessary, Christine--we didn't talk about it in class...I just brought it up here. It's important to distinguish the difference between those who turn in their work on time and those who don't (see Jennifer's comment above).
More discussion is needed before we post the policy here...class: 10 points for late?

Thanks for the new syllabus....it makes things much easier !

As for late assignments, I think it should depend on the assignment and the excuse why it wasn't turned in on time !

i agree with jennifers idea. we should bring this up next time the class meets.

I see that the journal entries are due one week after our visits but we won't be in class next Friday 10/5. Would you like us to e-mail the journal entry from tomorrow to you?

Yes Lynn--I'd like you to email, as an attachment, your journal & reflection, each of these "pairs" are due a week after the observation, whether we meet or not. I find that this is to work best for students as well as me.

And remember: don't worry if it (the email msg) bounces back saying my mailbox is full. It backs up in my gmai account.

Hope that helps...any other questions, just ask.
