Wow today was such an amazing experience! :0)I was about to sit down and write my journal entry when I realized I was not sure what the journal/ field report procedure is. Do we put the information on the blog, or do we email it right to the Prof. Tomich?
I also know we are not to include teacher/ student names in our field reports- is this also the case with the journal entries?

I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did. Have a great weekend.

Good cartoon, Jennifer.
About the journals/reflections:
In the past they would have become part of your educ'l portfolio, so it would make sense to be sure that they're in an essay-type format. Now that the COE (College of Education) is moving towards the TWS (Teacher Work Sample) I don't know if you'll need these reports on uniform templates. SO...to play it safe: type them up in a narrative, essay format. Honestly, I'd LOVE to see them here on the blog, but my original intention was to have you send them to me via email as attachments. Why don't you all still send them to me that way, and also why don't you all cut & paste some of them and post them here? I think we'd all gain to see them on the blog.Don't feel obligated--it's your choice...but perhaps you may feel that you observed/experienced something remarkable--in which case it would be generous to share it.
Reflections as well shouldn't contain "real" names...especially if they're to be blogged. Save each of your reports/reflections on a cd or something just in case you need it in your senior year for your folio. Postbacs: Definitely save yours--the system probably won't have changed in time for you to forego this assignment.
Can't wait to see some of your impressions. Enjoy!
Okay, I just want to make sure I have this clear. We are to write both the journal and the OBSERVATION in a narrative format. Then we are to email only the observation to prof. Tomich? Can someone please get back to me about this.
Kari, type both the field report & the reflection in a narrative/essay format. Email them to me as attachments, OK?
Thank you prof. Tomich. I understand it now.
Have a good weekend
